Research is an important aspect of the Institute and the goal of the research program is to perform applied research that impacts all involved in competitive sport – athletes, coaches, scientists and clinicians, parents and administrators. We currently have a number of projects ongoing including a major study looking at tennis stroke efficiency for injury prevention and performance. This is collaboration with Emory University and Emory Medical Center and we are currently collecting data throughout Atlanta with competitive junior tennis players and collegiate athletes.

Another study that is ongoing is looking at the impact of different insoles on balance and running mechanics for performance. A short example of some of the research that has been published over the past year is listed below. These have been published or presented in peer-reviewed journals or book chapters.
